Body Weight
Understanding our body shape, frame and type, we are
better equipped to target ideal body weights AND how
best for each of us to reach this goal
There are two target weights in our antiaging program:
- Ideal Body Weight – a great
first goal and can be reached using the wellness lifestyle
program.
- Antiaging Weight – caloric
restriction and lower body weight are proven longevity
methodologies.
So, start with attempting to reach your Ideal Body
Weight First. This program does NOT focus on weight
loss, although you will find that if you are overweight,
you will lose weight during this program if you complete
all the action items. Even a small weight loss of 10
to 20 pounds can improve your health, for example by
lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Body Fat Distribution
Now, look at where your body fat is predominantly
stored:
- If it’s in the bottom, hip and thigh area,
you are lucky. Fat in this area is not dangerous to
health.
- If your extra fat is in the abdominal area, you
are more prone to developing diabetes, high blood
pressure or heart problems.
Use this ratio: Waist measurement [inches] : Hip measurement
[inches]
Targets:
- Women - 0.8 or lower
- Men - 1 or lower
