ANTI-AGING BODYBUILDING
USING MENTAL POWER
The brain is a powerful machine, and in general our
bodies will act to the command of our brains.
Engaging our mental power to motivate us into a body
building program is an important step. Without engaging
the full power of the mind, our motivation wanes very
quickly.
Using a simple 4-step exercise can help get your brain
working for you:
- Imagine yourself super fat and super out of shape
- Vividly picture all the consequences of that shape
- Now visualise yourself as super fit and healthy
- Vividly picture all the ways your life improves
through being physically fit.
Once you have clear images in your head - set your
bodybuilding program goals.
Break these goals down into realistic steps. Unless
you feel you are making progress by being able to reach
the next step within a three week period, you will find
your staying power more limited.
Continually update your goals at regular intervals.
[About every three weeks]
Mind Focus During Workouts
To make your workout really effective you must focus
and concentrate each and every minute you exercise.
You have to perform using the right form that will employ
the target muscle and you have to focus like a laser
beam on the sub-muscle group.
The chest muscle group should be separated, for example,
into 3 groups, each one of them to be worked separately:
the upper, the middle and the lower muscles. But the
most important is putting your mind into action and
focus your thoughts on the specific sub-muscle group.
You think about the sub-muscle group and your mind
gives a command to engage the specific muscle while
isolating any other muscle.
