ANTIAGING FACIAL TREATMENTS
L.E.D Light Stimulation Therapy
LED Lights, as used by NASA to promote healing, are now
being used to stimulate collagen production. It has been
shown that specific wavelengths [colors] stimulate specific
responses in the body, and it is quickly becoming one
of the most effective and non-invasive ways to help rejuvenate
and repair the skin.
It has also been used to boost hair regrowth, either
as a stand alone procedure or in conjunction with hair
loss treatment products.
How LED Light Stimulation Therapy Works
Red wavelengths and certain infrared [non-visible] wavelengths
increase cellular activity at the dermal level. As we
age, there is a drop in cellular activity and energy levels.
With the delivery of the correct wavelengths of LED light,
these dermal cells receive a rejuvenating, anti-aging
boost from the light energy.
This boosts a number of natural processes in the skin
tissue, including:
- increases blood flow, helping bring nutrients and
cellular growth factors to the treated areas.
- stimulates fibroblast and collagen production to
strengthen sagging, wrinkled skin.
- lymph vessels open and drain more efficiently to
remove toxic waste and promote a healthier looking skin.
In addition, the skin heals quicker, and with less post
surgical or post trauma scarring. LED therapy is safe
for all skin types and ages. There is no down time or
recovery time.
LED Therapy Studies
L.E.D. Light Therapy studies have revealed that exposing
the skin to red L.E.D. lights for a little under 20 minutes
can plump skin, smooth wrinkles and fine lines.
Another study revealed that exposure to L.E.D. lights
for approx. 3 minutes per area can promote collagen stimulation
by 200% within 24 hours.
L.E.D'.s can also help diminish the redness of rosacea
after just one or two uses as well as calm inflammation
and reduce pain.
LED Therapy Units
LED Therapy can be administered in the home, with units
retailing between $USD500 $2,5000. There is a variation
in the lights used, with some having smaller, weaker 3
- 5 mm lights, whilst other [surprisingly cheaper] units
boasting most powerful 10 mm lights known as ‘Super
Bright’ LED Bulbs.
LED Light Therapy Treatments
For anti-aging collagen stimulation, LED Light Therapy
treatments consist of 3 to 4 minute sessions, a minimum
of twice a week; three times a week for four minutes per
area is preferred. This is best done at night, so that
exfoliating can occur undisturbed.
Next morning, gently remove any dry skin with baking
soda or glycolic cleanser, apply moisturizer and sun screen.
For hair growth apply unit to area for 4 minutes. If
you have thinning or falling hair use the LED Light Therapy
in conjunction with revitalising products.
Hair stimulation takes 2 to 3 months before you see a
regeneration of hair.
